Will Dean grew up in the East Midlands of the United Kingdom and lived in nine villages before the age of eighteen. After studying law at the London School of Economics and working in London, he settled in rural Sweden where he built a wooden house in a boggy clearing at the center of a vast elk forest, and it’s from this base that he compulsively reads and writes. His debut novel, Dark Pines, was selected for Zoe Ball’s book club on ITV, shortlisted for the National Book Awards (UK), The Guardian’s Not the Booker prize, and was named a Telegraph book of the year.

REVIEW:
So much better than the other book I read of his.
The plot twist in this story has given me all the feels. I absolutely loved this story! It was like Hunger Games meets The Love Boat in a Station Eleven society. Yup. I said it. 
This was a well thought out book. The story had so many twists, trying to steer you any which way, and it works! The real twist at the end you have no idea is coming! I was hoping the book would come together and it did. 
People who like a wicked plot twist in their suspense novels are going to love this one.
