Welcome to the July 2023 edition of monthly news!

We start off with Canada Day here.
I wasn't feeling very festive though....

We were supposed to have a birthday party for my uncle that passed at the end of June. It turned into a celebration of life.
Myself and my cousins...

A bunch of my family showed up even though it rained steady.
It was a great tribute to a great man!

Hubby and I celebrated our wedding anniversary, but kept it low key. Neither of us were feeling festive so soon after uncle passing. After 23 years together, we know where we stand without any festivities..... 

I got a memorial tattoo for my uncle that passed....
He loved corn, and he went to a local farm every year to stock up. He also stocked me up.
As he was dying, he said he had a 100 acre farm to grow his Snider's corn on. I knew in that moment this tattoo would happen, and thankfully, he would approve!

I hope you got your corn farm, uncle! 🌽💗

Had a family dinner near the end of the month with one of my cousins and his family. They brought lasagna and we had a blast!

Family time is the best time!

Then it got quiet with the start of Leo season... 
also welcomed.

    How nice to see family. Most of my family and relations live elsewhere and I meet them seldom. It is an extra treat when it happens. We are going round Europe in our van. Now in Innsbruck and at the end of the month, if all is well, we will continue to Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Greece for a couple of months. Looking forward to that.
    Enjoy the rest of your summer and hopefully you find a few good books along the way.
