Welcome to the May 2023 edition of monthly news!
I'm sure like so many of you, my British roots had me glued to the television in the early morning to watch the coronation of the King.
I could feel my grandfather all around the room, who instilled his love of his heritage in me.
As I sat watching, it warmed my heart to see my Indigenous side being represented. Having both sides is a conflict in itself but watching them come together was heartwarming.
Along with the King's promise, it gave me hope for the future.
My grandson was born, May 7th at 1:09pm EST.
“Come to me in my dreams, and then
By day I shall be well again.
For then the night will more than pay
The hopeless longing of the day.”
― Longing

I got a couple more tattoos.
A lotus symbolizes rebirth, and I am going through a sort of transition in life which feels like a rebirth.
I also am trying to be happier and have a more positive outlook on life. It's hard, hence the gentle reminder....
Had a sister's dinner on Mother's Day weekend. I have 4 sisters but only 2 showed up. One was sick and one had to work. The twins.
As you see, the rest of us had a blast! I feel like I should make this a tradition...
Then my nephew, Jamie, came home for a day and we had a great visit!
He moved up North and it's been 7 months since we saw him. Don't tell the others, but he is my favorite. 💗
That is it for me, what about you??

ReplyDeleteYour grandson is adorable! Congratulations to the whole family!
I like your tattoos. I don't have any but my oldest son, his wife and kids have them, and so does my daughter.
I haven't seen my sisters since Covid hit. I miss them a lot.
How nice that you got to see your nephew! It's always sad when your favorite people move away.
I clicked on your book links and see a few I'd like to read like A Song And A Prayer & Apple Orchard Cozy Mystery series.
Thank you xo
DeleteI hope you get to see your sisters soon. Family is important when in the end, that's all we really have. Each other. :-)
My nephew moving was bittersweet. He has a much better life where he is now.
I hope you enter the giveaway for Miss Loretta Lynn's book. Good luck to you, if you do!
