Welcome to the December edition of monthly news!
I thought December might let up a bit but nope.
My best friend went back to the hospital in the 3rd. Another stroke. He was discharged 3 days later..... They say he has A Fib on a valve and hopefully these blood thinners will keep him healthy and stroke free.
My great niece Serenity was in hospital at the end of November on oxygen with pneumonia and RSV. Then she was discharged as her 3 year old sister got it and was in the same boat, but also with influenza and asthma. Both at McMaster hospital on oxygen.
It just ain't right man.... So when they were both discharged we were all very happy.
My sister's neighborhood had a second targeted shooting.
She has never wanted to sell and move so quickly. Which I can't say I blame her. This city is out of control. We have so many shootings now that it feels surreal.
On a happier note, The Friday 56 celebrated 12 years as a meme on this site. It was previously owned by another blogger, who passed it onto me, and I have had fun posting weekly for you all. It's more fun to read your posts and visit your sites. As an appreciation, I held a giveaway just for participants.
On the 10th I levelled up to 46.
I read a couple of Christmas reads to get me in the mood. One was a cocktail book, so that was easy. *clink* *clink*
Of course on my tattoo day we get the biggest storm of the year. It started with freezing rain, turning to snow. The crazy thing is, our city dodged a bullet and we only got rain mostly. We did get a mix in the early afternoon but it stopped. Toronto, 40 minutes down the highway got walloped though.... Weird.
We also saw a holiday rock concert with The Standstills, Crown Lands and my favorite, The Trews.
I should have videoed more, but then my dancing wouldn't happen.... and we can't have that now. 😁
Then Christmas came and everyone got spoiled.
It was an eventful day spent at three of my sister's, each at a different time of the day.
Then Boxing Day the hubby and I went to The Keg to celebrate our 22 year together.
Here is the first photo we took together, back at New Year's Eve 2000. The beginning of many new years together.
And now we step into a new year....
I want to wish each and every one of you the best in health, wealth, love and more for 2023!!
Happy New Year!
