Read my 56:
Q: Have you ever experienced a blogging nightmare? If so, what was it?
A: I feel like I am living that nightmare now....
I started getting heavily invested in this blog once upon a time. I was and still am paying for my own domain. I was getting lots of paid opportunities and experiences that people could only dream of.
Then I decided I couldn't sit on my butt all day at the computer so I got a 'real' job. Cashier at a grocery store. Part-time is all I need in my middle age life. I just needed to fill the time so I wasn't on my butt all day every day. Then for a minute, this part-timer felt full-time. I was working so much that the blog took a backseat. Now I ask myself why pay all this money for a domain?! I'm not doing much but books and movies.... so what's the point?! I'm at a crossroads.
Will fredasvoice change? I don't know. Maybe.

Stockholm looks interesting, and I like how detailed the writing is. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSuch a tempting book!
ReplyDeleteI actually don't want my blog to be too m=popular (as if that would happen!) because I do not have the energy or interest to babysit all the communications necessary to keep up on it.
ReplyDeleteThe book looks good. I love the cover. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI had a paid domain for years for my now-defunct bento blog. When I decided to cut the paid and just stick with blogger it wasn't the end of the world or any of my followers ... they all just came with. I've debated paying for a wellreadpirate domain but there's really no need.
ReplyDeleteI like that quote 😊
ReplyDeleteThat does seem like a nightmare. I only have a free domain as I do it for fun. It would be nice to get paid for bits but I wouldn't even know how to go about sorting that out!
I hope you manage to sort out your nightmare!
Have a good weekend.

I'd miss your blog if you give it up - but you have to do what is best for you! I hope you find a way out of your nightmare.
ReplyDeleteMake no mistake, I won't ever close the blog. I may just stop paying for a domain and revert back to blogger.
DeleteI really like the author!
ReplyDeleteThe quotes you shared for Stockholm sound very interesting. I'm not usually a short story fan, but that one might be fun. :D
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're struggling with balancing life and your blog. I totally know where you're coming from. I've been there. I hope you do keep up with your blogging, even if you end up downgrading a bit. {{{hugs}}}
Thanks for the encouragement.
DeleteI will always have the blog, but maybe not the domain.
