Q: Are any of your bookcases buckling under the weight of too many books?
A: They used to. Now the ones I haven't read are in Rubbermaid bins patiently waiting for me. The ones I have read, after moving more than a thousand books, I have given most new homes. Adopted them out to loving families. I do miss them, but small sacrifices when you have no space and were forced to downsize.

    Good for you for giving away so many books. I did the same thing a few years back and need to do another culling soon. I don't usually buy books so I am not sure where they all come from. Sigh.

    I think it's great that you adopted your books out. It's hard to lose treasured possessions but I think it helps when you know they're taken care of. :D
