October Monthly News

Welcome to the October edition of monthly news!

Happy Halloween!!
My favorite day of the year! I love to dress up and become one with the day! Every year is different, and I always work so I get to enjoy seeing others also!
I live in a spot where I don't get trick-or-treaters, so this is my way of being part of the fun.

We also celebrated my nephew Josh's 19th birthday.
We went to Kelsey's and had a nice dinner.
Then we went back to my sister's and had cake and drinks.
It was a great time!

We also had a concert on Thanksgiving weekend. and since my oven broke right before and turkey dinner is out of the question, the outing was needed! We got to see Colin James!
He put on a helluva show too!
If you are not familiar with him, I have included a video of my favorite song.

I have a thing for live music, in case you didn't know already. 😁

The hubby and I went to the annual Mum show at Gage Park.
Of course I took my camera with me, so if you follow my photoblog, Day One Photography, prepare for a barrage of flower shots.

Afterward, we went to Poutine Fest in the same park.
It's a Canadian thing, but if you are ever here in my country, be sure to eat it!
It's our national food.
Okay, I'm not sure on that stat, but it could be true.
Eat it anyway. It's yummy. 😋

We had tickets to see Micheal Buble but we didn't attend.
I woke with a head cold and didn't want people to think I had COVID.
Sad, but true.
Worse part is, I felt better the next day.
As a tribute, here is my favorite Micheal Buble song....

Funny how life works out sometimes.

The hubby and I went to the Mum Show.
The theme this year is Space, The Final Frontier.
If you follow my photoblog, you will see more photos there.
This annual mum show is one of my favorite Autumn activities and I attend yearly. The theme is different each time, and it is always beautiful to see what creations they come up with all made from mums.
It's too cool!

My nephew Matt and his beautiful girlfriend had twins on October 20th.
A girl and a boy.
Welcome to the world babies!! 💙💗

As you can see, I had a decent reading month. They were mostly short stories, but it still counts so.....

REVIEW: It was weird starting off with a He-Man lookalike, Thunder the Barabarian), until I realized a character from the film was watching the cartoon in the airplane. Still, it was kind of cool to reminice about two cartoons from my childhood. So many great actors bring the film to life! What a fun story it was too! Although
