Sounds like a good one!
ReplyDeleteThis looks interesting. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read anything by this author, but I have heard a lot about his other novels (particularly Night of the Mannequins). That opening has a lot going on. Enjoy your current read!
ReplyDeleteThe 56 snippets definitely had some humor to them, but that opening hints at some more serious parts to the book. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds a bit nightmarish?
ReplyDeleteAn interesting Friday 56!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

The Backbone of the World sounds really interesting. I'll have to add it to my list.
ReplyDeleteI really like the opening first line. Imagine what a problem it would be to have prairie dogs digging in your back yard.
ReplyDeleteSounds like an intense story, although the prairie dogs are funny! I finally remembered what day of the week it is and posted Book Beginnings!
ReplyDeleteI read your review. Only find out it is genius at the end? I'm all in! Sounds amazing.
ReplyDeleteI drink more coffee than tea, but often both in the same day.
Just love the beginning, so great.
