The follow-through? Not pretty. With guilt and betrayal hanging over her head (not to mention that dangerous, if fetching, wig), Janet must comb out the mess she’s made. And there’s only one way to do it. Keke Palmer is a multifaceted content creator, actress, singer-songwriter, host, producer, author, and passionate voice of the millennial generation. From The Desk Of Lady Miss - Keke Palmer (8)

ASIN: ‎  B09GF4VNV5 Publisher: ‎  Amazon Original Stories (November 9, 2021) Kindle: ‎  8426 KB Print: ‎  29 pages AMAZON Hopelessly sad and lightly drab Janet takes a spin with Lady Miss Jacqueline in this hysterically funny short story of a magical wig that turns a wallflower into the flashiest bulb in the room. Does Lady Miss go too far? Always! Lady Miss Jacqueline swears that hair makes a difference. And it does! Now Janet is taking charge on the job and making moves on a local barista she’s always shied away from. But when her brash new Lady Miss drawl gets all the wrong attention, Janet realizes that she needs to change her style—and her wig. It’s all a matter of finding the perfect fit. My Dear Friend Janet - Keke Palmer (7)

ASIN: ‎  B09GF94FQV Publisher: ‎  Amazon Original Stories (November 9, 2021) Kindle: ‎  8447 KB Print: ‎  25 pages   AMAZON Poor Janet and her fifty shades of beige. At least her inner voice, the sensational Lady Miss Jacqueline, is coming out in an outrageously funny short story about magic, courage, and—oh honey—the wigs! Janet Williams is practically invisible. If only she had the pluck to speak up at work, flirt with the handsome barista she sees every day, and realize how special she is. When a magical wig offers Janet a chance to shake things up, will she dare to try a bold new style? The voice in her head—flashy and fierce, with an unbridled southern drawl—tells her to go for it. And once she does, there’s no turning back. Keke Palmer is a multifaceted content creator, actress, singer-songwriter, host, producer, author, and passionate voice of the millennial generation. The Storyteller - Dave Grohl (5)

Publisher: ‎  Dey Street Books (October 5, 2021 Hardcover: ‎  384 pages ISBN: ‎  9780063076099 AMAZON So, I've written a book. Having entertained the idea for years, and even offered a few questionable opportunities ("It's a piece of cake! Just do 4 hours of interviews, find someone else to write it, put your face on the cover, and voila!") I have decided to write these stories just as I have always done, in my own hand. The joy that I have felt from chronicling these tales is not unlike listening back to a song that I've recorded and can't wait to share with the world, or reading a primitive journal entry from a stained notebook, or even hearing my voice bounce between the Kiss posters on my wall as a child.  This certainly doesn't mean that I'm quitting my day job, but it does give me a place to shed a little light on what it's like to be a kid from Springfield, Virginia, walking through life while living out the crazy dreams I had as young music

Q:  What genre do you refuse to read and why? A: I wouldn't say that I refuse any. I don't run out and buy Erotica, and other than 50 Shades of Grey, I haven't purposely read any. Just not for me, I guess. I like thrills in other ways... like murder mysteries and such. **This is a weekly book meme post. Compensation may be earned from the link within.
