October Monthly News

Welcome to the October edition of monthly news! One of my favorite months of the year! I love all things Spooky! Spooky movies, tv shows and Halloween! I already have my costume picked out, what about you? We also had Canadian Thanksgiving.  With being mixed race, it was hard for me this year. My caucasian side couldn't wait to have turkey dinner, but the Native side was feeling rebellious and not wanting to celebrate. I sometimes feel torn between my two heritages. This year has been exceptionally difficult with the residential school findings. I want to be thankful, and I try to be, but it's tough sometimes. The best part of Thanksgiving was spending it with my beautiful daughter. She lives so far from me and is busy teaching young minds, that moments like this I literally live for. Wish my son was also here but unfortunately he could not be. Rare are the days that I get them both home together. Anyone else an empty nester? Do you feel my pain? My favorite day of the year cam

The Nevers Season 1

Victorian London is rocked to its foundations by a supernatural event which gives certain people — mostly women — abnormal abilities, from the wondrous to the disturbing. An epic fantasy / science fiction drama about a gang of Victorian women who find themselves with unusual abilities, relentless enemies and a mission that might very well change the world. REVIEW: I really enjoyed this show, so much more than I actually thought I would. It's a great show for fans of the paranormal and supernatural. It's perfect for spooky season as well! The hubby watched the season with me and enjoyed it as well. I do have to say, the last episode threw us both for a total loop! It was weird, all over the place, and didn't make much sense until the last minute. Still, it was good enough for us both to want to see the next season, if there is one. I felt like this was a great mix of characters, plot and oddities that anyone could
