I really liked the two novels of hers that I read -- Half a Yellow Sun and Americanah. I'm sure I would like this story. I want to read more of her books.
ReplyDeleteGreat cover and fabulous excerpt!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good one! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI've had Americanah on the TBR shelf for much too long. I got it for a challenge, but then never read it. You've inspired me to go dig it out and give it a try.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good weekend.
Both of those quotes were pretty melancholy. They set a tone that makes me wonder if I would be able to get through the book or not.
ReplyDeleteI loved both Half a Yellow Sun and Purple Hibiscus, so I really want to read Zikora. I love Adichie’s writing.
ReplyDeleteI've been hoping to read something by Chimamanda, but still haven't gotten around to it. I'm really intrigued by these quotes though! The phrase 'eloquent eyes' is brilliant. Thanks for hosting and have a lovely weekend :)

ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the cover not being the final buying decider
