Here is my 56...

Book Beginnings leave your links in the comments if you didn't join in the Friday 56.

Q:  Who is your favorite character... of all the books you've read? Why?
A:  These are pretty loaded questions sometimes, y'know like asking what a persons' favorite song, food, color, etc is...ONE thing? UGH! K, tantrum over and I'll just go with Cinder from the Lunar Chronicles. Why? Because she was the first character that turned me onto loving that series. I just wish someone would visually adapt in as a movie or tv series already. HEAR ME HOLLYWEIRD??!!

  1. If I had to pick a favorite character it would likely be either Elizabeth Bennet or Elinor Dashwood, or Anne Eliott all Jane Austen characters

  2. I meant to put Yvonne @ Socrates Book Reviews as my link name, but I clicked submit too soon. Sorry about that.

I don't usually read memoirs but the excerpts to this one sound good. Have a great weekend!

  4. I also threw a bit of a tantrum on the Hop question and then kinda cheated my way out of answering it xD It is a great question but impossible to answer! And I've heard great things about Jessica Simpson's memoir, but these quotes really get me intrigued! Thanks for hosting and have a lovely weekend!

  5. I used to love essays and short stories, but somewhere I stopped reading them. I need to get back into reading a few.

I just went with Poirot for the Blogger hop question! I've never read an Agatha Christie featuring Poirot that I didn't enjoy.

    Have a good weekend Freda!

  8. The Jessica Simpson book looks really interesting. I have always loved her singing voice. I really feel for celebrities and way nothing is private. I can't imagine what it would do to them psychologically to always have their business, including their weight out there, especially as a teen. It's hard enough not having a spotlight on you.

I love that opening and her attitude.

I didn't even try to answer this week's BBHOP question. I couldn't think of a coherent answer and I ran out of time. LOL Cinder's a good choice. :-)

I hope you have a great weekend, Freda! Thank you for hosting!

  9. I would love to see the Lunar Chronicles as a series. I think it would work best as an animated series for some reason.

  10. I've still yet to read her book but I own it and want to do it soon!
