  1. Oh, I love Megan Miranda's books! This one is going on my list.

  2. I'm trying to get to more thrillers/suspense novels this year, and Such A Quiet Place looks interesting. Enjoy your current read!

  3. I think I review around 50-60% of the books I read. I used to only write reviews for the YA books I read, hoping to entice my teen readers. Now I wish I'd reviewed more of the adult books, too. Now I review all the book club selections, and most of the books I read that I consider to be literature. I don't often review the children's books I read or the poetry books for some reason.

  4. This one looks really good. Have a great weekend!

  5. Yet another book I fancy reading - I'm adding it to my list of books to look out for.

  6. I'm going to look up your book. Looks like a good thriller.

  7. This book sounds very good. Unfortunately I was declined for it on NetGalley.

  8. I like the beginning...and I'm sure it's a great read because of the author.

  9. Great cover on this one. I've never tried anything y Miranda but I've seen so many raves for her books.

  10. I keep meaning to try this author. And this book has me intrigued. Thanks for adding me to the link and have a fabulous weekend, Freda!

  11. This book looks great and that cover is gorgeous!

I got tied up in work and didn't get Book Beginnings up last night, but it is up now!

  12. The second 56 you shared is really good! I will have to look for No Such Quiet Place. I hope you are enjoying it. I'd really like to try something my Megan Miranda one of these days.

    Have a great weekend!

  13. I have The Last House Guest--I need to read it so I can add this one without having toooooo many on my TBR.

  14. Love the beginning and the other comments.

  15. Love the beginning and the other quotes. Have not read anything by her.

REVIEW: It was weird starting off with a He-Man lookalike, Thunder the Barabarian), until I realized a character from the film was watching the cartoon in the airplane. Still, it was kind of cool to reminice about two cartoons from my childhood. So many great actors bring the film to life! What a fun story it was too! Although

Starts outs so dark that you can't really make anything out. Hard to know what's going on if you can't see. It doesn't take long to get light though. Thankfully. Man, does the story ever pick up after that. I don't remember much about the original but this one is intense. Right to the very last second too. Sydney is badass and shows it throughout. Can you imagine what it would
