October Monthly News

Welcome to the October edition of the monthly news! Canada had our Thanksgiving this month. It was lonely and uneventful in my home. With COVID on the rise again here, it was safer to stay in our own homes this year and just talk over the phone or messaging. Sucks, but better safe than sorry for sure!  How did you celebrate, if Canadian, or how will you celebrate next month if you are American? I reached my reading goal of 50 books and am now passed it. It's a good feeling. 😊 Have any of you reached your yearly goals? On October 26th, my beloved Harley passed away. I'm heartbroken. He was such a good boy and still young at 7 years old.  It was very sudden. He will be missed by all who knew him.                                                   Happy Halloween!  🎃 Stay safe everyone! 🙏 BOOKS: Truthtelling by Lynne Sharon Schwartz Good Omens by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett The Wrong Family by Tarryn Fisher (recommend) Quiet Times With God by Joyce Meyer   This Lie Will

But when a mortar blast outside the hospital where he worked sent him home from Afghanistan with devastating injuries, the dilapidated cabin he'd inherited from his grandfather seemed as good a place to regroup as any. Tending to his grandfather's beloved beehives, Trevor isn't prepared to fall in love with a local . . . yet, from their very first encounter, Trevor feels a connection with deputy sheriff Natalie Masterson that he can't ignore. But even as she seems to reciprocate his feelings, she remains frustratingly distant, making Trevor wonder what she's hiding. Further complicating his stay in New Bern is the presence of a sullen teenage girl, Callie, who lives in the trailer park down the road. Trevor hopes Callie can shed light on the mysterious circumstances of his grandfather's death, but she offers few clues -- until a crisis trigger
