Q:   What book or books are you going to read on Labor Day weekend?
A: I am reading a book online called, Tweak. It's a memoir that's got a movie based on it, Beautiful Boy. Also starting, Apprentice In Death. It's time I read a J.D. Robb book and see what the hoopla is about.

  1. I timely book to read! I've seen it a lot on social media. It sounds interesting, but I'm trying to ignore all things that remind me of the election and current events. :)

  2. I want to read this Trump book. But not sure if I could handle it. I hate the guy. Tweak is well-written. Disturbing, tough.

  3. This book is definitely making the rounds since it's release. How are you finding it? I like the narrative voice of the author in the prologue. I imagine it is an interesting and insightful read.

I hope you enjoy Apprentice in Death. The first time I read a J.D. Robb book (Naked in Death), I didn't like it much. But then I tried it in audio several years later and liked it much better. I've only listened to the first couple of books, but eventually I hope to get to the others. Maybe. There's a lot of them. LOL

I hope you have a great weekend, Freda. Take care.

Starts outs so dark that you can't really make anything out. Hard to know what's going on if you can't see. It doesn't take long to get light though. Thankfully. Man, does the story ever pick up after that. I don't remember much about the original but this one is intense. Right to the very last second too. Sydney is badass and shows it throughout. Can you imagine what it would

#Win 1917 (US/CDN)

AVAILABLE MARCH 24! RATED R 119 minutes AMAZON April 1917, the Western Front. Two British soldiers are sent to deliver an urgent message to an isolated regiment. If the message is not received in time the regiment will walk into a trap and be massacred. To get to the regiment they will need to cross through enemy territory. Time is of the essence and the journey will be fraught with danger. Starring Colin Firth. REVIEW: So it wasn't the best war movie I've ever seen, but it was still good. The cinematography is amazing! So rich and with so much detail. The story is just okay though. Two soliders sent to stop the front lines from walking into a trap. Not that interesting and often predictable. A few yelling at the screen moments happened, not gonna lie. How it was all brought together, mixed with a tug on the emotional heart strings is what is makes it good. Watched it with the hubby. He was engaged throughout, so that was good. He's n
