  1. I loved Tom Sawyer! It was actually the first book I checked out of the library when I was eight years old.

  12. I am so glad your mother is doing great, Freda. I hope she has a smooth recovery! It's been so long since I read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. I actually preferred Huckleberry Finn of the two. :-)

I don't read a lot of horror, but I certainly enjoy books with horror elements in them now and then--from thrillers to urban or dark fantasy.

    Have a great weekend!

  18. I read fantasies and mysteries/thrillers. I don't like horror :( but I did have my horror phase when I was a teenager... I'm quite picky about what I read.

    Have a nice weekend!

  20. Good news about your Mum, Freda. x
This week's BBH question was an easy one for me to answer. Considering my blog is packed with reviews for paranormal romance and urban fantasy books, I don’t think it’ll come as a surprise that my 💜 favourite 💜 reading genre is adult PARANORMAL ROMANCE! 😘 I did, however, read lots of horror in my teens and adolescent years.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend, Freda.
    Here's my BBH Post

Starts outs so dark that you can't really make anything out. Hard to know what's going on if you can't see. It doesn't take long to get light though. Thankfully. Man, does the story ever pick up after that. I don't remember much about the original but this one is intense. Right to the very last second too. Sydney is badass and shows it throughout. Can you imagine what it would

REVIEW: It was weird starting off with a He-Man lookalike, Thunder the Barabarian), until I realized a character from the film was watching the cartoon in the airplane. Still, it was kind of cool to reminice about two cartoons from my childhood. So many great actors bring the film to life! What a fun story it was too! Although
