Everything is better with bacon! Especially hot dogs. Being someone who is not a huge fan of the tubular meat choice, I had to find a way to be able to want them so the family was happy. Other than chili cheese dogs, this is my favorite way.
Preheat your oven to 350 C.
Grab those Juicy Jumbos made by Schneiders if you have them in your grocers. Any dog wil do though, but that is what I use.
Score the hot dogs in a diagonal fashion. This allows the fat from the bacon to leave flavor in the dog itself.
Take the strip of bacon, and you will need 2 per dog if you use the Juicy Jumbos, wrap it around the dog being sure to leave no spaces except at the end.
Place on a parchment paper covered baking sheet. (As seen above)
Bake for approximately 45 minutes. I know it seems like a long time, but you want the bacon crispy. If you turn the heat up higher, you will get a greasy mess in your oven. You will know when they are done....
Be sure to drain the fat off before sticking on the bun. We added shredded Tex Mex cheese to them, and boy, they were yummy!!!
Enjoy!
