From master storyteller Guillermo del Toro comes The Shape of Water - an other-worldly fairy tale, set against the backdrop of Cold War era America circa 1962. In the hidden high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of silence and isolation. Elisa’s life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment. Rounding out the cast are Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins, Michael Stuhlbarg and Doug Jones.

I can see why this one was so acclaimed.
It was amazing!
They call it a thriller and suspense, but this is a romance. Most definitely.
And ladies, bring tissues for the very end... OMG!!!
At first I wasn't sure I was going to like it. It was a little weird. Then I got sucked into this story about the well-being of a being. 
Then you get the romance... first she saves him, then he saves her. 
Epic!
Watch it on date night.
I just want to add my favorite scene... is in front of my city hall! Yup, Hamilton Ontario Canada is a huge hub for movies and tv shows. Canadian and American productions. It was awesome seeing our city hall portrayed in such a huge film.
