August Monthly News

Welcome to the August edition of monthly news! We celebrated 9 years of blogging in August! It feels like it has flown on by! I appreciate all of you for sticking with me through the years! I had an aunt pass away from complications with her diabetes. She was an aunt through marriage, but it still hurts all the same. Also makes me think about my own diabetes, and that I need to keep taking care of myself. Enough sad stuff. Summer is almost over, oh wait, that's more sad stuff! I realized I did nothing noteworthy this summer. Did any of you have anything exciting to talk about? Fill me in! Let me live vicariously through you! 😁 BOOKS: The Roxy by Andrew Czezowski & Susan Carrington (recommend) Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling (recommend) Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets by J.K. Rowling (recommend) MOVIES: Here And Now #TV Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (recommend)

Series:  Harry Potter (Book 2) Paperback:  341 pages Publisher:  Scholastic Paperbacks; Reprint edition (September 1, 2000) ISBN:  9780439064873 AMAZON US    |    AMAZON CA    |    AMAZON UK The Dursleys were so mean that hideous that summer that all Harry Potter wanted was to get back to the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. But just as he's packing his bags, Harry receives a warning from a strange, impish creature named Dobby who says that if Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts, disaster will strike. And strike it does. For in Harry's second year at Hogwarts, fresh torments and horrors arise, including an outrageously stuck-up new professor, Gilderoy Lockheart, a spirit named Moaning Myrtle who haunts the girls' bathroom, and the unwanted attentions of Ron Weasley's younger sister, Ginny. But each of these seem minor annoyances when the real trouble begins, and someone--or something--starts turning Hogwarts students to stone. Could it be Draco

Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone #Movie

AVAILABLE NOW! Rated PG AMAZON US    |    AMAZON CA    |    AMAZON UK This is the tale of Harry Potter, an ordinary 11-year-old boy serving as a sort of slave for his aunt and uncle who learns that he is actually a wizard and has been invited to attend the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry is snatched away from his mundane existence by Rubeus Hagrid, the grounds keeper for Hogwarts, and quickly thrown into a world completely foreign to both him and the viewer. Famous for an incident that happened at his birth, Harry makes friends easily at his new school. He soon finds, however, that the wizarding world is far more dangerous for him than he would have imagined, and he quickly learns that not all wizards are ones to be trusted. My review for the book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. REVIEW: I saw this film when it came out, but I hadn't read the book until recently. I decided to go back and compare them now that
