Three-time Emmy®-nominee Bill Hader (SNL) “gives a master-class in acting” (Indiewire) in the critically acclaimed dark comedy series, Barry: Season 1, available for Digital Download on June 18th. Hailed as “the best new comedy on television” (NPR), cast regulars also include Henry Winkler (Royal Pains), Stephen Root (True Blood), Sarah Goldberg (Hindsight), Glenn Fleshler (True Detective), and Anthony Carrigan (Gotham).

Barry (Hader) is a depressed hitman from the Midwest, and while on a job in Los Angeles, he follows his mark into an acting class and has a career epiphany when he discovers the intoxicating world of theater acting. Instantly drawn to the class and students, Barry is eager to leave his lonely, cold-hearted job behind, but as he attempts to start a new life in LA, his criminal ties won’t let him walk away, forcing him to find a balance between both worlds.

Termed as a “bittersweet dramedy that's uncomfortably funny and simultaneously dark and tense,” (CNN) Barry: Season 1 is co-created and executively produced by Bill Hader and Alex Berg (Silicon Valley).

Extra Content for Digital Download Includes*:
·         World of Barry: Watch Henry Winkler and the rest of the cast introduce the ridiculously quirky characters in Barry.
·         Inside the Episodes: 8 featurettes dissecting each episode from Bill Hader, Alec Berg, and the rest of the cast and crew.

*Extra content is included only with participating partners.

REVIEW:
This is a great show!
Barry is a hitman. You wouldn't know this if you looked at him though. He blends in to society so well, that you wouldn't even pick up anything dangerous about him.
Season 1 is filled with laughs, close call moments, and pure entertainment as you watch Barry navigate life, relationships, work and play while being a contract killer. I loved the cast too! Henry Winkler is one of my faves, I mean, he's always Fonzie to me, but I loved him as the quirky acting teacher in this show. He almost stole the show with his antics trying to seduce this cop. Priceless I tell ya!
The hubby really enjoys this show too. It's nice there is a show we both enjoy and can watch together. There's not too many of those around.
Grab your partner and hunker down for a great night of entertainment if you get this season!

  1. I watch the first couple episodes and was mesmerized by Bill Hader's performance. I had only seen him act in Saturday Night Live before, so it was amazing to see him in a dramatic role. Would love to win this to see Barry's further transformation from a hitman to an actor.

Still, it was kind of cool to reminice about two cartoons from my childhood. So many great actors bring the film to life! What a fun story it was too! Although
