Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn get more action than they bargained for in the mother of all comedies! After her boyfriend dumps her on the eve of their exotic vacation, impetuous dreamer Emily Middleton (Schumer) persuades her ultra-cautious mom, Linda (Hawn), to travel with her to paradise. When the trip takes an unexpected turn, the polar opposite mother/daughter duo realize they must settle their differences and work together to escape the outrageous jungle adventure they've fallen into.

REVIEW:
I've seen this film three times total. The first two times I was drinking with friends and totally missed it. This time around though, I watched it with the hubby and saw the whole thing.
I thought it was good. It made me laugh, though it was slow going. I actually was shocked by a couple parts too, like BAM! They were surprising scenes that normally are not in a comedy movie, but it was great. Made for a better story line, which frankly, comedies are usually lacking there.
The hubby just thought it was ok. He did laugh once or twice, but he did seem pretty bored throughout.
It was great seeing Goldie Hawn back on screen. Plus Wanda Sykes and Joan Cusack are in it too. Love them!!

  1. I saw ads for this film and have ignored them, but now I will give it a try. It is available free on one of the tv and film sites I subscribe to.

  2. This looks great. I love Goldie Hawn and Wanda Sykes, she's a hoot. Used to watch her on Christine.

  3. I felt the same way. It wasn't the best comedy ever but her and Goldie Hawn had a great chemistry and it was fun seeing Sykes and Cusack as well.

Gabrielle Union stars as a woman who will stop at nothing to rescue her two children being held hostage in a house designed with impenetrable security. No trap, no trick and especially no man inside can match a mother with a mission when she is determined on Breaking In. Producers Will Packer (No Good Deed, Obsessed) and Union (Almost Christmas, Being Mary Jane) reunite for this original thriller directed by James McTeigue (V for Vendetta, Sense8).

REVIEW: So much better than I anticipated. One fierce, strong and smart mom comes to the rescue of her whole family. These guys who took her kids, don't stand a chance. She's not a MMA fighter or anything, but she is smart and resourceful. I was so in tune with the film, and as a mom, I was on the edge-of-my-set waiting for her to give them what they deserved. No one should take a womans' kids.  Men and women will both love this movie, so  maybe a date nigh…
