ReplyDeleteSlaughter is a great story teller. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThe quote from the first page has me very interested but the cover and the title leave me cold. What is is about?
ReplyDeleteThis looks like an interesting series and a lot grislier than the 56 implies. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis was a great book! I especially love the opening scene - with Will thinking of his dog, Betty! In this dark and gory story, it's a real diversion. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI need to know more about this book - good opening and intriguing page 56 quotation.
ReplyDeleteI've never read anything by this author but heard so many great things.

My copy is sitting here looking at me and I can hardly wait to start reading. I love Karin. Have a super weekend, Freda...and everyone else.

I haven't read enough Karen Slaughter books. I have Pretty Girls on my reading list for September, but I've seen this one around as well and would also like to read it! Hope you will have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI already like Will. The opening tells us a lot about him and his kindness. The 56 excerpt makes me wonder where he's going in such a hurry! Sounds like a book I'd enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting The Friday 56.
Sounds mundane enough, but I know her books can get a little creepy!
