REVIEW:
Here is the one person that didn't like it.
It's me. I just didn't enjoy it or get it, frankly. I also don't get how this film stole all the awards' nominations at the Oscars. I get it was a sophisticated story, but maybe too sophisticated for me. I felt the degrees of separation were just too far for my tastes. It was so hard to decipher what was real and what was fantasy. Was he crazy, suicidal or both? I feel like I will never know.
In the end, I feel like this is two hours of my life I can't get back.

  1. I'm one of those people that loved Birdman. As a writer, I could identify with the idea of being more true to yourself in your art than in real life, and that when you try to please an audience you end up being invisible. I think artists of all sorts will recognize themselves in the film.

  4. Thanks forcyourcreview. I didn't realize it wavered into fantasy, I thought it was about going back to his glory days. But I am a big Michael Keaton fan, so I'll still try once it's free.

  5. Thank you for sharing your true thoughts about this movie. The premise of it sounds a bit depressing. I would see it for Michael Keaton's performance.

REVIEW: It was weird starting off with a He-Man lookalike, Thunder the Barabarian), until I realized a character from the film was watching the cartoon in the airplane. Still, it was kind of cool to reminice about two cartoons from my childhood. So many great actors bring the film to life! What a fun story it was too! Although
