January Monthly News

Welcome to the January 2015 edition of monthly news!
I started a memory box at the beginning of the year. I only have two fortune cookie fortunes inside it currently. Yeah, I lead a boring existence.
Have you done anything new?
On the review front, there is a company that I have wanted to work with for about 4 years now, and couldn't for one reason or another. Then, as luck would have it, they contacted me to review for them. I was am stoked! Watch for my eShakti review coming next month!

#ValentinesDayReads #Giveaway

Dear  Reader,
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! The crisp, cool air feels a little sweeter and stores are filling their shelves with greeting cards and candies. But instead of sharing the usual gifts, the way to someone’s heart can be through a story (and maybe a little bit of chocolate). Hachette Book Group is offering a “Give Books, Not Roses” Valentine’s Day giveaway for those of you who want to express your admiration for friends, family, and loved ones.
Love Gently Falling written by Melody Carlson is a romantic novella about the power of Valentine’s Day and how one woman discovers love while at the same time saving her family’s business. Successful hairstylist to the stars Rita Jensen returns to her hometown in Chicago after receiving news that her mother has suffered a stroke. Though Rita must come up with a plan to save her mother’s salon, the oncoming holiday and her undeniable feelings for an old classmate become quite a distraction.

Did You Catch Stella & Dot On Undercover Boss?

Did you catch Stella & Dot on Undercover Boss last night? It was a great episode and if you missed it, you can check it out on CBS

All of the employee's who were featured had such wonderful attitudes and really loved working for Stella & Dot. I really enjoyed watching Jessica (the CEO and Founder) attend a trunk show with a Stylist. It provided a glimpse at how fun and rewarding it can be to be a part of the Stella & Dot team. I won't give away any spoilers but I will say that after watching the episode, you will want to join Stella & Dot's amazing team as a Stylist! REVIEW:
So much fun!
What an awesome soundtrack too! I found myself singing along right from the beginning.
I really liked how this film gently explains to young minds about death and dying. The explanation given was fantastic. Usually kids wouldn't understand, but this film had a clever way of reasoning and reassuring the child. I loved how it all went down.
Parents will enjoy this movie but it really is for the kids, aged 6-12.
