Like Santino Marella, many wrestlers have had acting aspirations that allowed them to be part of many cool, funny, and action-packed movies. In celebration of the Blu-ray, DVD, and DHD release of Jingle All the Way 2, below is a look back at wrestlers with movie careers.

1. Dwayne Johnson/The Rock

We cannot start off a list of wrestlers-turned-actors without naming Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. With his handsome good looks, physicality, and charming and kind personality, an acting career came easily to Dwayne Johnson. He has built a successful career (and an extremely supporting fanbase) from films such as The Mummy Returns, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6, Pain and Gain, and Hercules.

2. Roddy Piper/Rowdy

Roddy “Rowdy” Piper won 34 championship titles and his best-known credit comes from the 1988 classic They Live. This John Carpenter-directed movie is considered one of the coolest wrestler-turned-actor films ever.

3. André René Roussimoff/ André the Giant

AndrĂ© RenĂ© Roussimoff stood at a staggering 7’4’’ and, even though his acting career didn’t span very long, he played a really memorable role in the awesome movie, The Princess Bride. Inconceivable!

4. John Cena/Mr. P

Apart from a prolific career in the wrestling world, John Cena is also an actor and  rapper who has been described as “the face of the WWE for a long time.” He has starred in several feature films such as The Marine and 12 Rounds.

5. Hulk Hogan

One of the most famous wrestlers of all time, Hulk Hogan has also dedicated some of his time to making movies. He was part of numerous movies in the ‘80s and ‘90s like Rocky III, 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain, and Suburban Commando. From 2005 through 2007, Hogan had his own reality show that introduced him to a new generation.
