XIV (If Thou Must Love Me, Let It Be For Nought)

If thou must love me, let it be for nought Except for love's sake only. Do not say "I love her for her smile--her look--her way Of speaking gently,--for a trick of thought That falls in well with mine, and certes brought A sense of ease on such a day--" For these things in themselves, Beloved, may Be changed, or change for thee,--and love, so wrought, May be unwrought so. Neither love me for Thine own dear pity's wiping my cheek dry,-- A creature might forget to weep, who bore Thy comfort long, and lose thy love thereby! But love me for love's sake, that evermore Thou may'st love on, through love's eternity. ~ Elizabeth Barrett Browning Alphabe Thursdays A  Girl's Garden Boat Beneath A Sunny Sky Carpe Diem Dream within a Dream Echo Flower Garden God Gave A Loaf To Every Bird How Do I Love Thee I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings Just After Rain Kin Little Bo Peep Million Man March Nothin

#76: The Tucci Table - Stanley Tucci & Felicity Blunt

Featuring family-friendly recipes and stunning photography, an all-new cookbook from New York Times bestselling author, beloved actor, and respected foodie Stanley Tucci. Stanley Tucci’s association with wonderful foods began for fans with the movie Big Night and resonated in his role as Julia Child’s husband in Julie & Julia. But well before these films, he was enjoying innovative homemade Italian meals throughout his childhood, when family and food were nearly inseparable and cooking was always a familial venture. Now, in a completely new, family-focused cookbook, Tucci captivates food lovers’ imaginations with recipes from his traditional Italian roots as well as those of his British wife, Felicity Blunt, tied together with a modern American ribbon. The time-tested recipes include pasta alla bottarga, mushroom-stuffed trout, pork chops with onions and mustard sauce, barbeque chicken wings, and much, much more! I didn't like Michael Douglas's character one bit. At first, anyway. That changed though. Michael Douglas played this guy well though. He actually became my favorite character, next to the little girl who stole the show. Yeah, surprised me too. This is such a romantic, yet funny movie. Perfect for date night. Family and love are the two themes, though told in a humorous way. I recommend this heartwarming movie. 4/5 **No compensation was received for posting. AMAZON Margaret Jones also puts in an account in Reverend John Hale's 1697 account A Modest Enquiry into the Nature of Witchcraft, published in Boston in 1702. Hale was a minister in Beverly whose wife was accused during a Salem picnic. A Modest Enquiry was his attempt to look at the nature of witchcraft in North America. He mistakenly cites Jones as the first person executed for witchcraft in New England; there is evidence that one Alice /young was executed in Windsor, Connecticut, in 1647, though very little record of her survives. **No compensation was received for posting. Woman Work

I've got the children to tend The clothes to mend The floor to mop The food to shop Then the chicken to fry The baby to dry I got company to feed The garden to weed I've got shirts to press The tots to dress The can to be cut I gotta clean up this hut Then see about the sick And the cotton to pick. Shine on me, sunshine Rain on me, rain Fall softly, dewdrops And cool my brow again. Storm, blow me from here With your fiercest wind Let me float across the sky 'Til I can rest again. Fall gently, snowflakes Cover me with white Cold icy kisses and Let me rest tonight.
