S Is For Songs


I'm so glad that Spring has sprung and sledding season is over.
At least in my nook of the world anyway.
Other parts of Canada are not so lucky. This is why I'm thankful to have the Lake Effect and miss most of the crappy stuff... a.k.a. the snow.
It's rain season now, in fact it's trying to rain now.
But today I had no photos planned to share, so I decided to take the easy way out and share some of my all-time favorite songs with you all.

You all know from one of my E posts how much I love Elvis.
This song has tons of meaning for me.
My cousin was killed by a drunk driver in front of my home, which I witnessed, and this song we danced to at his wedding. He was my favorite person because we shared a love of the king. I always think of Billy when I hear it, and it makes me smile.




This is my all-time favorite punk band. Bad Brains.
This song is my all-time favorite punk track.
It's basically a song about how you can be your own worst enemy. It reminds me to be my own friend.




My favorite classic rock band, ever! Led Zeppelin.
I have every album they have made. I love them that much.
This, of course, is my favorite song by them.

    I really enjoy Elvis too. He died much too young. I wish I could have gone to one of his concerts. My husband and I had decided to go the next time he came to Norfolk, VA, but we never got a chance.
