REVIEW:
A fun read!
I was surprised I enjoyed this story as much as I did, considering most of it was a giant cliché. I felt it was totally predictable romance, but I liked that about it too. It was exactly what I was looking to read at the time.
Strong characters make this fluffy story and easy and enjoyable read. I just can't see me reading it over and over.
People who are into watching soap operas will definitely appreciate this book. More than I did surely. I am not a soap opera fan. Too dramatic at times for me, and so was this story. The drama, the who's-sleeping-with-who, and the plot were all reminiscent of daytime television.
Still it flowed well and had a beginning, middle and end.
3/5
Sometimes I need a fun, predictable, happy endings romance reads! Thank you for the review.
ReplyDeleteI love a good romance read :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of romance so I know predictability is not unusual. I love it when an author can make me love the book despite that. This sounds cute but I haven't watched a soap in decades (I'd rather read).
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this one...and also the author's memoir, All the Days of My Life (so far). But then again, I am a fan of Alison's work on the soap...and admittedly, I have enjoyed how soaps can take me out of my own drama...lol. Thanks for sharing.
