After his unexpected journey into the lands of the fey, Ethan Chase just wants to get back to normal. Well, as "normal" as you can be when you see faeries every day of your life. Suddenly the former loner with the bad reputation has someone to try for—his girlfriend, Kenzie. Never mind that he's forbidden to see her again.
But when your name is Ethan Chase and your sister is one of the most powerful faeries in the Nevernever, "normal" simply isn't to be. For Ethan's nephew, Keirran, is missing, and may be on the verge of doing something unthinkable in the name of saving his own love. Something that will fracture the human and faery worlds forever, and give rise to the dangerous fey known as the Forgotten. As Ethan's and Keirran's fates entwine and Keirran slips further into darkness, Ethan's next choice may decide the fate of them all.

Born in Sacramento, CA, Julie Kagawa moved to Hawaii at the age of nine. There she learned many things; how to bodyboard, that teachers scream when you put centipedes in their desks, and that writing stories in math class is a great way to kill time. Her teachers were glad to see her graduate.
Julie now lives is Louisville, KY with her husband and furkids. She is the international and NYT bestselling author of The Iron Fey series. Visit her at juliekagawa.com.

REVIEW:
The first almost half of the book was a complete letdown for me. I may have expected way too much though, being such a huge fan and all. With such a slow start, I was worried the love was about to die.
Then it picked up. Got more adventurous, dangerous and exciting! I was instantly pulled back in! And now, after finishing, I still want more! You have no idea!
I don't like how it ended though. Yet somehow I know it had to end that way. I'm obviously conflicted.
So many unexpected things happen in this story that you will continually be guessing. Some moments with my favorite characters really surprised me throughout. I can't wait to continue the story and so what happens next. Sadly I have to wait until 2014.
3.5/5
I didn't know she was from Sacramento! I live in Sac. Sorry it was a letdown. I still haven't started this series but definitely plan to someday. Just not in a rush.
