E Is For Elvis

DISCLOSURE: Freda's Voice received no compensation for posting. Opinions are 100% owned by Freda's Voice.

I love elephants. Such a mystical creature, and amazingly it never forgets. But no, that is not what I am sharing this week.
I almost went with ego as the theme, when I saw what one egotistical person had the nerve to say. Again, no, I digressed.
I decided to share with you my love of Elvis Presley.
Some of you who have read my blog, or visit my photography blog, may already know of my secret obsession. For those who didn't know... SURPRISE!!!
Here are a few of my E.P. possessions.
My Elvis sneakers from The Bradford Exchange.
Never worn... no way ho-say!

Elvis purse.

Elvis pajamas.

Elvis cosmetic bag.

Elvis bedside lamp.

Elvis cigarette case, though I quit smoking 5 years ago.

One of the many unopened Elvis calendars.

I actually have two of these Elvis pink lemonade mixes.
Unopened of course.

One of my many Elvis figurines.

Elvis playing cards.

Yes, I even have Elvis Pez.

So there you see some of my most prized Elvis possessions. Of course this is only a piece of the pie, I didn't want to be here all night going through my goodies... LOL
Do you enjoy Elvis? Have a favorite song??
I will leave you with this youtube video for my Elvis pick. It's not my favorite, but it is the song I danced with my cousin Billy at his wedding. Since he rests in heaven now, I always think of him when I play it.

  2. I really enjoyed this! I adore Elvis too, always have and I just know I always will. My mother collected elephants, not the live ones of course, and yet if she could have she would have had them as well. She favored them having their tusks up! After my mother passed, her collection is now mine. I have two large stone elephants (she had in her living room) sitting in an outdoor flower garden! I think they enjoy the fresh air! :)

  8. I am reading a neat book about Elvis called "The Day the Music Changed." It consists of letters back and forth between him when he was a naive 20 and her when she was 14. I am really enjoying it and would recommend it highly.

    =)

REVIEW:
I sorta hated the beginning.
Starts outs so dark that you can't really make anything out. Hard to know what's going on if you can't see.
It doesn't take long to get light though.
Thankfully.
Man, does the story ever pick up after that. I don't remember much about the original but this one is intense. Right to the very last second too.
Sydney is badass and shows it throughout. Can you imagine what it would be like if everyone thought you were o…

REVIEW: I loved the whole series, but especially loved this season as it wrapped it all up.  There were a couple of moments that were so incredibly tragic, but also a couple moments where the most tragic things couldn't have happened to better people. Take Sussy for example. God, how I hated that woman through the whole show and couldn't wait for her to get what was coming to her. Did she get it here? You have to watch and see! This is the season where you will sit on the edge of your seat, waiting to see who will win the kingdom. Does your favorite character prevail above the others? MIne d…

REVIEW: Boyfriend overload!!
The Rock, Jason Stathom and Ryan Reynolds in one film. Oh, my!
It was a great story, had tons of action and kick-ass moments. It was comical at times too. Everything I hoped for in this movie was there.
Just make sure you keep watching after the credits. It doesn't end when you think it does.
Watched with the hubby and he is a big fan. His exact words were, 'it was awesome'.
