I sat down on the couch and finished my sandwich. Sam and Theresa walked in not long after, followed by a young woman I'd never seen before. Mark was standing just outside the door talking to Sue, who was clearly upset. When the pair entered the room, I made direct eye contact with Mark, which I knew meant trouble. Mark came right over and sat down beside me.
