April Monthly News

April showers bring May flowers....
but April also brings the monthly news here on the blog.
I hope it has gotten nicer where you are and no more snow storms have hit you. It's definitely showing signs of spring where I live and that always brings smiles!
I attended Stars On Ice and had a blast. Do you have anything exciting to share?

The Invisible Man

AVAILABLE TODAY! RATED R 125 MINUTES AMAZON What you can't see can hurt you. Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy scientist, Cecilia (Elisabeth Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding. But when her abusive ex suddenly dies, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia's sanity begins to unravel while she desperately tries to prove she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.  REVIEW: I sorta hated the beginning. Starts outs so dark that you can't really make anything out. Hard to know what's going on if you can't see. It doesn't take long to get light though. Thankfully. Man, does the story ever pick up after that. I don't remember much about the original but this one is intense. Right to the very last second too. Sydney is badass and shows it throughout. Can you imagine what it would

#Win 1917 (US/CDN)

AVAILABLE MARCH 24! RATED R 119 minutes AMAZON April 1917, the Western Front. Two British soldiers are sent to deliver an urgent message to an isolated regiment. If the message is not received in time the regiment will walk into a trap and be massacred. To get to the regiment they will need to cross through enemy territory. Time is of the essence and the journey will be fraught with danger. Starring Colin Firth. REVIEW: So it wasn't the best war movie I've ever seen, but it was still good. The cinematography is amazing! So rich and with so much detail. The story is just okay though. Two soliders sent to stop the front lines from walking into a trap. Not that interesting and often predictable. A few yelling at the screen moments happened, not gonna lie. How it was all brought together, mixed with a tug on the emotional heart strings is what is makes it good. Watched it with the hubby. He was engaged throughout, so that was good. He's n
