Just as I turned to make a frantic dash to the back exit another loud belligerent knock drummed violently on the back door.
"Oh dear god... they have the place surrounded."
"What am I going to do?"
all sorts of crazy stuff went through my mind as i was reading this and i wouldn't want to be in this person's shoes.

ReplyDeleteGiven the title of the book, my first thought was of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds." But I guess a crow wouldn't knock, would it? This sounds like an exciting and suspenseful book.
