A deadly love triangle
Elena: beautiful and popular, the girl who can have any guy she wants.
Stefan: brooding and mysterious, desperately trying to resist his desire for Elena . . . for her own good.
Damon: sexy, dangerous, and driven by an urge for revenge against Stefan, the brother who betrayed him.
Elena finds herself drawn to both brothers . . . who will she choose?
AUTHOR BIO:
L. J. Smith has written a number of bestselling books and series for young adults, including The Vampire Diaries (now a hit TV show), The Secret Circle, The Forbidden Game, Night World, and the #1 New York Times bestselling Dark Visions. She is happiest sitting by a crackling fire in a cabin in Point Reyes, California, or walking the beaches that surround that area.
MY OPINION:
Unless you live in a cave you already know about the television show, The Vampire Diaries. Well, forget everything you know because, it's true, the books are NOTHING like the show. Okay, not nothing, but the differences outweigh the similarities. I don't know about you, but it worked for me. I watched the first season of the show, most of the time it was exciting enough. During the second season I lost interest as it lost excitement and became more dramatic, and I haven't watched it since. The book didn't do that. It actually left me on the edge of a cliff, needing to continue the story with The Struggle. So, yeah, I definitely recommend reading the book, but I am not recommending the show. Books rule!!

Dang, I can't see the teaser. Hey, great new look to your web site. And aren't the books always better than the movie/TV series?
ReplyDeleteI've heard so much about the books being different and am so curious! I prefer books to movies/tv shows...as I like how much more descriptive they are. I must admit, I do watch Vampire Diaries religiously hehe, but I REALLY want to read the books :) Thanks for sharing! All the more reason for me to check them out!
ReplyDeleteLove the redesign! I need to get these books, I LOVE the show so I'm sure the books will be that much better :) Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI have seen so much about the books but have not tried them.
ReplyDeleteInteresting comparison you give here between the book and the movie. I'm betting she'll choose Damon.
