I woke up on the ground, my muscles cramping with pain.Everything about me felt pummeled and crushed, like I'd been squashed by a stampeding cow.
funny we should both pick books about dogs :) sort of! happy friday, freda!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an interesting read this week.
ReplyDeleteWondering if s/he really has been pummeled or if it's just from sleeping on the ground....my middle-aged body doesn't do the sleeping on the ground thing as well as I used to. So, I know the pummeled feeling well. :-)
DeleteI don't see a linky...Here's my Friday Memes.
Trampled by a stampeding cow must mean really, really sore. This sounds like a good book.
ReplyDeleteOh you have a very interesting read! I am so glad to have this be my first week doing The Friday 56 AND have it the first original blog post since the big move and mess up with my blog! THANKS Freda!
ReplyDeleteSounds good and I like the cover.
ReplyDeleteVery descriptive! Your quote makes me hurt just to read it.
ReplyDeleteOOH, that's a bad feeling.
ReplyDeleteOuch! That doesn't sound like a very pleasant awakening!
ReplyDeleteOuch! Sounds painful...and now I'm curious!
ReplyDeleteGreat imagery; visually descriptive! Happy Mother's Day Freda!
ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder what the character has been up to...lol...Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI'm also reading another book about dogs, The Dog Who Talked to God. My Friday 56 is a mystery set in Chinatown, New York.
ReplyDeleteGreat quote! I like it!
ReplyDeleteMy post also deals with waking up on a different place.
ReplyDeleteGood one, but very painful! I like the sound of this one, thanks for sharing.
