#7: Busted - Glenn Gamble

BUSTED is a prequel to the Jim Money Stories that dates back to Jim Money's college days when he was an up-and-coming distance runner on scholarship at Southern Illinois University. Balancing school and 10-mile runs with running his illegal gambling operation, Jim Money and his friends Frank and Steve must grow up fast, or else his next race will be out of Carbondale, Illinois and possibly to a prison sentence, or the grave.
Will Jim and his friends find a way to keep his gambling operation alive while keeping themselves off the police and the NCAA officials' radar? Let's see what rouge Officer Seal and his cohorts have to say about that.

My Review of Bon Appetit is HERE

My Opinion:
I loved Bon Appetit, so I had to read this one.
You do learn a lot about Jim, the main character of both, and why he is as ferocious as he can be. A cruel life can sometimes make a person do cruel things. Doesn't make them necessarily bad people, they just have bad tendencies when pushed up against a wall.
Looking forward to reading more from Glenn Gamble.

Gabrielle Union stars as a woman who will stop at nothing to rescue her two children being held hostage in a house designed with impenetrable security. No trap, no trick and especially no man inside can match a mother with a mission when she is determined on Breaking In. Producers Will Packer (No Good Deed, Obsessed) and Union (Almost Christmas, Being Mary Jane) reunite for this original thriller directed by James McTeigue (V for Vendetta, Sense8).

REVIEW: So much better than I anticipated. One fierce, strong and smart mom comes to the rescue of her whole family. These guys who took her kids, don't stand a chance. She's not a MMA fighter or anything, but she is smart and resourceful. I was so in tune with the film, and as a mom, I was on the edge-of-my-set waiting for her to give them what they deserved. No one should take a womans' kids.  Men and women will both love this movie, so  maybe a date nigh…
