Twelve top children’s book illustrators created original artwork for Scholastic’s month-long online charity auction (which just opened for bids) to benefit Reading Is Fundamental and Reach Out and Read, two amazing literacy organizations that have lost all federal funding, making it even more difficult for them to help the kids who need it the most.

He is right, reading is important, especially in the ever growing technology. Encourage your child to read. Buy them the Kindle to get the interested in reading. Listen to audio books. Reading is a mental exercise that will allow children to learn easier. It will help them succeed in school and life. In addition, it help them get well paying jobs when they graduate from college. Let your child imagine. They will thank you later!
