My Opinion:
I wasn't sure what to expect when I got this book, but reading the cover gives you high expectations with authors like Stephen King praising it. Unfortunately, for the most part, it fell flat for me.
An almost 400 page story, took me 200 pages just to get into, and really grasp the story. The writing flipped back and forth between characters so much at first I got confused. Though by the end of the book, it all came together.
Still I was unimpressed.
I wanted more and a better understanding of the facts.
I know lots of people will love this book, I just am not one of them. It was just okay in the end.
2.5/5

Major bummer. It always bites when you invest so much time and then still don't feel it. Thanks for the honest review.
ReplyDeleteI think it sounds a great suspense story. Will tyr to read it myself once I read it. but thanks for the honest review!
ReplyDeleteYou have more patience than I do, if I haven't gotten into a book after the first hundred pages that's ususally as far as I go. Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame this didn't work for you. I'm sure I would have given up on it if it took me that long to get into it.
