Still Missing - Chevy Stevens

Synopsis:
On the day she was abducted, Annie O’Sullivan, a 32-year-old realtor, had three goals—sell a house, forget about a recent argument with her mother, and be on time for dinner with her ever-patient boyfriend. The open house is slow, but when her last visitor pulls up in a van as she's about to leave, Annie thinks it just might be her lucky day after all.
Interwoven with the story of the year Annie spent as the captive of a psychopath in a remote mountain cabin, which unfolds through sessions with her psychiatrist, is a second narrative recounting events following her escape—her struggle to piece her shattered life back together and the ongoing police investigation into the identity of her captor.
Still Missing is that rare debut find--a shocking, visceral, brutal and beautifully crafted debut novel.

My Opinion:
Wow!
For a debut author, Chevy knocked my socks off!
I really loved this book, and absorbed every word of it. The entire story had me on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what happened next, and who did it. Oh my gosh, the ending... was amazing! Totally not a thing in my wildest dreams, but exactly what happened. I love this book. I really do.
I hope this isn't the last I read from Chevy. She has a gift.
For sure the one to beat for August!

5/5

  3. Sounds interesting. I love reading novels. Thanks for the review.

By the way, thanks for leaving your comment on my post about drug addiction. I've never been an addict but I saw how my Uncle suffers. He was drug dependent for years and our whole family was affected but we didn't leave him. Now he is a clean man but is suffering from the complications caused by meth. His kidney was greatly affected and so as his liver.

I am now following this site. Have a great day!

  5. Sounds like one I shouldn't pass up. I know this is shallow, but the cover just wasn't attracting my attention. I can't overlook such a enthusiastic review.
