My Opinion:
In lieu of poets
I decided to try
To write my review
With a sense of style
Though not my prose
I appreciate
The words you chose
To initiate
I cannot say
It was not bland
Though I'd rather read
From my own hand
Thank you kindly
For the book you mailed
I read it through
Completely sailed
So I say to you
My readers alike
Maybe the next will do
But not this time.

I like your verse. I need to read the book!
ReplyDeletehey, that's a creative review. i'd like to see one for another one of your future reviews ;-D
ReplyDeleteNice job on the review in verse. I've tried that a time or two on my site when the mood strikes and the book fits. It's a bit tricky, but fun. Sounds like you enjoyed the book but perhaps not a favorite....pretty much the way it goes with poetry. It either strikes you or it doesn't. Thanks for the prose! Happy reading..
