Do No Evil: An Artemis Agency Novel - Kymberly Goltermann & Ashley L. Goltermann

Synopsis:
Three years ago, Phineas Nobul was at the top of her game as a defense attorney in Los Angelos. When the Lair, New York native returned home for the holidays, she was surprised to find herself willing to give it all up for love. Now brokenhearted, nearly penniless, and once again unemployed, Phineas finds herself partnering up with her sister to take a second shot at success.
Phoebe, the eldest and more responsible Nobul daughter, envies her little sister's free spirit and loathes her unreliability. this is never more the case than when Phoebe finds herself dumped on her wedding day and her little sister nowhere to be found. When Phineas resurfaces and much wine has been consumed, she presents the heinous idea of Phoebe quitting her career in publishing to team up with her as private investigators. Phoebe rejects the idea at first but then sees this as a chance to start over.
Business is barely up and running when a corpse is left in the newly established Artemis Agency. A foreboding warning soon follows. The sisters don't know whether to be terrified or intrigued. As the bodies begin piling up, Phoebe and Phineas get caught up in a case of conspiracy and scandal that once haunted small-town Lair.
Add an eccentric trigger-happy grandmother, a basset hound with an attitude, a hunky yet overprotective veterinarian, a mysterious cop known as Officer Yummy, and a very persistent killer and you've got one hell of a mystery!

My Opinion:
Mystery - check.
Romance - check.
Humor - check.
This book had it all for a little one, and it packed a mighty punch! I thought the authors were quite clever in their writing style, and found myself giggling outright. I was dumbfounded with the twist in the end, and had no idea it was there! Nicely played ladies!!
The characters are molded in such a way, that you don't have to be a woman, let alone a sister to appreciate the story. Men will completely love the tale of these two relentless ladies, sniffing where they shouldn't. You will get lost in the story right till the very end!
Definitely on my recommendation list, and I do hope I see more, like a series?! That would be sublime!

  1. Oooh, this does sound good and that's quite the recommendation. I like the cover - kind of shadowy, scary.

  2. I'm not sure which I find more intriguing, the book or the authors' bios. I'll have to add this one to my reading list.

REVIEW:
Such great animation!
There was always something going on in this movie. Even though it was a story I have seen played out a million times and a million different ways, they all are different too. This had more of a story. It was very magical and is definitely fun for the whole family.
Want to point out, Max, the dog, stole the show for me. He is so adorable, even if animation. Such a good dog.
This is one of those Christmas movies that you really can enjoy all year round. It has enough laughs, fun and morals to be played anytime. Plus there is nothing wrong with Christmas cheer in February.

#ChristmasInJuly #Win A Onesie Or Pajamas Of Your Choice! (US/CDN)

The most wonderful time of the year is back, (a little early)! It's Christmas in July!! You too can celebrate with a wonderful gift right here. UglyChristmasSweater.com has the funniest, traditional and branded goodies on the planet! Here is a sneak peek at a couple of things I personally love on their site.

Last year, I reviewed one of the sweaters. You can view that post here. It is easily my favorite holiday sweater. It's so warm and I love the quality of it. This year, I was asked if I wanted a onesie or pajamas to check out. You know I had to jump at the chance, knowing what great quality clothing they have.

I got the Grinch on my onesie! I got an extra large size, and before you go crazy knowing that is big for me, I don't like my pjs to be tight and constricting. I always go a size up on my night clothes. I must have been traumatized in a past life.... These Grinch pajamas are soooooo soft and comfortable. The best part is that it's A/C season so I can actually wher…
